Revisiting Memorable Albums and Their History
The 1990s and 2000s were two evolutionary decades in the music world. Not only was music composition and creation changing, but genres were transforming and music distribution was evolving. In this era, several genres would collide and music enjoyment transitioned to the digital world. In the middle of these two decades of metamorphosis within music, many defining albums were being released. Some of these albums would expand a genre's boundaries, others would break industry standards, and a few challenged societal structure.

Run That Back will be revisiting some of the defining albums within these two decades of music, by providing context surrounding the album's release, identifying an album's peaks and valleys, measuring an album's influence, and questioning an album's longevity. Each album will be explored through the following categories.
